Public Archeology Dig at Gatewood Plantation from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Free event but must call 502.222.0826 for reservations.

This is a pre-Civil War log house site, owned by Wm. Gatewood who was the sheriff of Trimble County 1830s. Henry Bibb was a famous escaped slave and this was the last place where he was enslaved in Ky. We are working on the summer kitchen.
